The keyboard input device indicates the keyboard is on and connects when the yellow Indicator is on and it is ready to send the input instructions to the computer system.

The keyboard input device controls and operates the operating system or application software that allows control and operation with the selected keys and combinations of keys from the keyboard input device.


Mouse input device

Mouse input device that is used to design the application software or art work on the application software that is used to develop the image file for the providing the still object view on the file and it is based on the object file which included the object in 2 dimensional shapes using the pixel resolution on the image file.

Mouse input device is used to operate the GUI form of operating system which means the GUI is a type of graphics user interface is a full form of GUI.

BCR input device

BCR input device that is used for data entry work on the BCR device is used in the particular offices that uses the data entry on the application, web form, document filing through the scanning the barcode because it is a barcode reader.

BCR input device is used to fill quickly the text data into the spreadsheet through the tool application software of BCR or if the spreadsheet application have an option to control and operate with the BCR device then the BCR can sends the input data to the sheet and fill the data recorded on the barcode from the object cover such as:- product from retail shop is used to collect the detail quickly from the barcode and make a bill quickly for the customer on the shop.


MICR input device

MICR is an input device that provides the service of collecting the information about the paper or slip that has information hidden in the micr code.

MICR is a process and device that scans the micr code to verify of the user at bank office such as:- check slip included the micr printed on the slip when the user bring with the check slip at the bank office visits then the officer on bank can process the check and scan the slip of check which included the MICR code on the check then it will verify the user and their account matches from the database of user account on the bank office.


Microphone input device

Microphone input device is used to send the audio data to the computer system that contains the different types of application software in the category of video editing, audio clip player, recording audio data, voice call recorder app etc. These types of application software need the audio data input to the computer system by the microphone input device of the computer system connected to the computer through the audio jack port.

Microphone is used to provide the calling system and used for data communication systems to provide the option of voice calling, video calling, audio clip sending current recorded etc. Used by the microphone input device.


OMR machine input device

OMR machine input device that is used to scan the OMR sheet it is in the particular format to understand the OMR machine the format and the user have some protocols that fills the ball or balloons on the OMR sheet by black ball pen or blue ball pen depends on the requirements on the particular task on the office or examination system to fill the OMR sheet which is used to fill in the competition exam to fill their name and options marked by black pen to compute the answer easily which the student tick marked by the filling balloons on the OMR sheet which is in the particular format to scan quickly the sheet through the OMR machine.


OCR input device

OCR input device that OCR is a Optical Character Recognition is a device for inputting the character into the application software by reading characters.

It is used to scan file, image and documents that provides the text data scans through the optical character reader.

The OCR collects only the text data into the computer system.

The OCR input device is used to send the text data input to the computer system on the particular application software.

It is used to recognise the characters only with any types of format printed on the paper such as:- italic, bold, underline are the basic font style but the OCR also recognised the different types of font style format of text data which is not easy to read the text and convert into the text in a simple sends to the computer also.

It is also used for scanning the character of credit cards for their processing of payment and verifying the card.


Output peripheral devices on the computer system:-


Speaker output device

Speaker output device that can be used to provide the output data to the end user on the computer system from the application software which is used to play the audio clip, video file with audio data, video chatting, voice calling etc. Used the speaker in those types of application software that are used to provide the audio data or sound data or voice data recorded on the file of audio clip of the user 

The speaker has different types of categories such as Bluetooth, loudspeaker, headphone, earphones, wired speaker output device etc. The computer system can connect and provide the sound to the end user.


Monitor output device

Monitor output device is used to provide display form of the text data to the end user and the user can see their activities on the monitor output device of the application software or operating system related to the input instructions that the user working on the application software on a particular interface form.

The monitor output device is used to show the output data which is used to display on the monitor output device to show the data that can be visible such as:- text data, image data and video data.

The graphics is also a display form of output from the monitor output device.


Printer output device

Printer output device is used to provide the hardcopy of the document file from the application software or operating system tool application.

Printer provides the output data in the form of hardcopy of file, pages, and documents on the different types of paper and their quality of papers such as:- A4 size, Glossy paper, Photo paper, letter size paper etc.

Printer output device is used to provide the printed data of the text data and image data, the image file can be printed out from the application software of photo editor and the printer prints the quality of photos depending on their size and pixel resolution quality also.


Projector output device

Projectors output device is used to provide the output data in the display form of graphics and animation or video data depending on the quality of high resolution of graphics form and provide the display on the wall and cloth from the projector output device that is connected to the computer system.

The Projector's output device is similar to the monitor output device because both can display the output data in the graphics form but here the difference is the monitor output device has its own screen to display the graphics form of data and the projector output device is used to provide the output data on the white wall or white cloth.


Storage peripheral devices on the computer system:-


Temporary memory-


RAM memory device

RAM is a temporary memory device chip that contains the temporary memory space with the minimum of 256 mb to the 32 gb of space available on the chip of RAM.

The ram is used to provide the space for storing the file which is running on the computer system and which is currently using the computer system and their file.

The RAM is a temporary memory. It loses their data when the Ram stores the data in their space and stores the data till the computer system is running and turned on and after the computer system is turned off the RAM loses its data which is running on the computer in the environment of the operating system. The file which is allowed to run on the ram and store on the ram given instructions from the CPU.


Register memory

Register memory is a temporary memory used to provide the temporary memory for storing the data packets or instructions to compute the input instructions and to provide output to the next input for the CPU to compute the final result for the output unit to the end user on the computer system.

Register memory is used as a program counter to collect the data address and instructions addresses that store the data into the program counter register memory and these instructions are to be executed.

These instructions will be executed next in the CPU.

The CPU has so many registers that have a processing system to provide the output data to the output unit on the computer system.


Cache memory

Cache memory is used to provide the temporary memory to store the data, instructions, and programs which are ready for execution on the computer computer system and ready for processing and computation by the CPU chip.

Cache memory only stores the data, instructions are programmed because the cache cannot be used to store more than 4mb because this memory is manufactured only maximum 4mb on the computer system.

Cache memory is used to store temporarily the data, instructions, programs etc. Which are waiting for execution on the computer system and processing by the CPU chip when the CPU completes the computing program which is previously processing in the CPU then the cache provides the held program stores in the cache memory.


Permanent memory-


Hard Disc Drive memory device

Hard Disc Drive memory device is a type of permanent memory which is used to store the data in the space available on the HDD device and it is a permanently stores the data which cannot be removed permanently when the user delete the file from the HDD then it can be removed their address and not visible on the particular address of the file where the user saves the file from the particular address on the HDD. The HDD is based on magnetic tape to store the data on the tape and the tape is a circular shape to round through the spindle with the speed of unit RPM which stands for round per minute.


Solid State Drive memory device

Solid state drive memory device that means the SSD is similar to the HDD because both are the permanent memory device where the HDD is a mechanical device and SSD is a flash based device which is used to read the data through a flash into the memory of SSD.

The SSD included the memory cells based on the logic gates such as NAND and NOR. These NAND and NOR are the combination of two types of Gates are AND NOT OR.

The Solid State Drive is permanently used because it cannot lose the data when the power is cut off or turned off the computer system.


Pendrive memory device

Pendrive memory device is an external storage device which is also a permanent memory device because it is also used for storing the database for a long time to use with the large capacity of storage of the database in the device.

Pendrive is a small device and it is easy to pick up by hand with fingers to take anywhere to insert and use the database and share the database from one computer system to another computer system.

The capacity of pendrive is 256 mb to 1 tb of memory available on the market online and offline at electronic shops.


Memory Card memory device

A Memory Card memory device is a small card for storing the data in the space of the card. The memory card is used to insert with the card reader on the camera device to store images and photos but the memory card is used also in the computer system through the card reader if there is two types of port available on the computer one is insert card and the usb port for card reader to insert small card inside the card reader then connect to the usb port of CPU or laptop computer. There are some capacity memory cards 256 mb to 1 tb of memory cards available on the market.


ROM memory device

ROM memory device is used to provide the Read Only Memory device on the computer system manufactured on the motherboard of the computer inside the CPU cabinet.

The ROM is a permanent memory used only for reading the data which has been stored during the manufacturing of the ROM on the motherboard of a computer system.

The ROM memory is stored the data of the sin, cos, tan, log etc. Which is used for computing the instructions and program in the cpu and the cpu access according to the requirements of the ROM data. The ROM is also an erasable ROM which is known as a rewritable ROM on the computer system. ROM also contains the different types of formulas related to the trigonometric functions for computing the complex problems and programs through the CPU.


CD memory device

Compact disc is used to store the data which is also a permanent memory and it stores for a long time but here is the disadvantage of the CD being scratched is majorly affected on the CD stuck the read to the data stored on the CD. The CD capacity is 450 to 800 mb of disc space to store the data which is used to insert into the CD drive or DVD drive.


DVD memory device

A DVD memory device is used to provide a larger space than the CD. It has a capacity of 4.5 gb to 8.5 gb of memory space to store the data.

Digital Versatile Disk to store the data and insert into the DVD drive or DVD writer of the computer system.


HVD memory device

The HVD memory device is used to store the data in the Holographic Versatile Disc and it has a much larger space than the CD and DVD.

The HVD is an optical disc to store in the capacity of 3 tb means Terabytes.

It is used for storing the graphical data which already needs a lot to store such as high resolution animation data and 3 dimensional computer graphics.


Floppy disk memory device

Floppy disk memory device is a minimum space for storing the data in kilobytes only.

Floppy disk space is usually 1.4 mb with the average space of capacity of floppy disk and it is used to insert in the floppy drive on the cpu cabinet of the computer system. It is also a rewritable disc to store the data into the floppy. It will be better than the other type of disc storage if the space is larger than the other storage device but the floppy disk is not used in the future on the new computer model because the new computer replaces and removes the floppy drive for floppy disk.
